As the Olympics near (8-8-08) signs are being posted in Beijing to help the Chinese with foreign etiquette. Signs urged locals not to ask Americans and Europeans about how much they make, what they paid for something, their age, love life details, religious beliefs and more. 7/23/2008: Boffo Box Office Draws
Forbes has released their latest list for highest paid actor in Hollywood. This year's winner is Will Smith who raked in 80 million bucks this year.

7/22/2008: Candidate Comedy
Comedians on all the popular talk and late night shows have been making fun of the U.S Press Corps huge coverage of Barack Obama's Middle East Trip but that's about has wild as it gets these days when the Democratic Presidential Candidates name pops up in monologues. Meantime, John McCain is skewered almost on a daily basis about his age.

7/21/2008: Giving in Tough Times
As we raise money for the Majic Children's Fund by auctioning off a guest DJ spot with Rick Shaw on Friday, we realize alot of folks who'd like to bid are experiencing tough times. In fact, alot of South Florida charities are reporting lower donations due to the shaky economy.

The Marlins lead Major League Baseball in home runs, have won more games than the experts had predicted and spend more money on marketing and advertising than most teams. Evenso, the team is dead last when it comes to game attendance.

7/17/2008: Stadium Wars
South Florida Auto Dealer Norman Braman is in court to fight a $3 Billion Dollar Spending Plan that includes public financing for a new Florida Marlins Stadium. He says the public should have been given the chance to vote on the use of taxpayer dollars. Lawyers for Miami and Miami-Dade County have argued in court no vote is needed because the new Florida Marlins stadium will be of benefit to the community.

7/16/2008: Preserving YOUR Nest Egg......
The run on the IndyMac Bank in California has touched a nerve with alot of Americans who are taking a second look at how safe their savings are in our nation's banks. Local banks have told "The Miami Herald" that they're fine and we shouldn't panic.

7/15/2008: Satire or Sabotage
"The New Yorker" Magazine is on the hot seat after publishing a cartoon on it's cover featuring Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle. The controversy: Obama is wearing a turban, a photo of Osama Bin Laden appears over a fireplace where a flag is burning. He is doing the "famous hand bump" with his wife who is decked out in a machine gun. The Magazine calls it satire. Critics say it just reinforces rumors and spin started by people who do not support the candidate.

7/14/2008: Grade the GUV
Governor Crist kicks off an 11-day international trade mission to Europe, amid criticism that it's a costly and ill-timed trip given tight Florida finances. Crist in recent weeks has also been slammed by some for dropping his support for a ban on off-shore drilling, perhaps in an effort to court the veep nomination from John McCain. On the flipside, supporters say he's done pretty well governing a state with alot of problems.
